With its heritage of classic designs, game-changing innovations, iconic signature athletes and culture defining creativity, Nike Basketball is arguably the most influential sports brand in history. When Eric Montgomery discovered his love for the game of basketball as a young kid growing up in Los Angeles, he also discovered that a pair of Nikes would be his go-to on court kicks. Years after lacing them up in a meaningful game, Eric would earn the opportunity to create, write, and produce for Nike Basketball as the Senior Writer for the Nike Basketball creative studio.
SPACEMAKERS
Sabrina Ionescu doesn’t need you or anyone else to validate that she deserves to be in the conversation of the best young basketball players in the world—she made her own space. To launch the Nike Zoom GT Cut, Eric and the Nike Basketball team developed the ‘Space Maker’ concept inspired by the game and attitude of Sabrina Ionescu and everyone out there making space for themselves and others.

Kyrie 7
Eric played a vital role as the secondary writer for the launch of Kyrie Irving’s seventh signature shoe. He helped craft the storytelling, wrote product copy, assisted on the ideation and production of the digital journey.

Eric was the lead digital writer for the launch of LeBron James’ 18th signature shoe. He helped craft the narrative, Hero AV, and supplemental content, wrote the product copy, messaging hierarchy, Nike App, and social copy.
